We sat down with our current Senior Remediation Manager (SRM), they let us know the below about the role:
What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?
- Manage and oversee best practice in collaboration with the SRM, Analytics and peers
- Support workload management including peer reviewing of wider team data in collaboration with SRM
- Identify and support in requirement gathering, testing and implementation of change programmes that improve customer and colleague outcomes
- Initiate and develop domain specific remediation repositories that enable a shared understanding of key remediation product including distinct characteristics, logic and limitations
- Provide thought leadership based on data learnings and developments to the wider Customer Remediation Centre of Expertise (CoE)
What is the team culture and environment like?
We work in a relaxed and understanding environment where everyone is given their own autonomy working towards a common goal. You will be joining a cohesive team which we are looking to build on as we expand on the vision for customer remediations.
What is the most exciting thing about this role?
This role is heavily involved in the establishment of best practice analytics, change management and driving initiatives whilst managing, coaching and overseeing your direct reports remediation cases. The end goal of all this being the enablement of effective, accurate and timely remediation for customers!
What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
- 7+ years’ experience in a data role, including practical application utilising database tools such as SAS, Snowflake or Hadoop and languages such as SQL or Python
- 3+ years' experience in the financial industry or in a finance related profession
- Strong understanding of banking products
- Ability to plan, prioritise and manage tasks independently
- Provide leadership, direction and pragmatism to ensure analytical approaches are effective and efficient, enabling prompt customer resolution of remediation cases.
- Analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving
