About the Role
A respected consultancy with decades of experience across surveying, planning, engineering, and environmental services is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join their growing environmental team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer to contribute to impactful stormwater management, three waters design, and environmental assessment projects while developing strong technical and client-facing skills.
You will be involved in delivering high-quality environmental and civil engineering solutions across a variety of land development and infrastructure projects. Working closely with senior engineers, you’ll take on both design and field-based responsibilities, gaining valuable experience across the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting stormwater management and environmental engineering design projects
- Assisting with integrated catchment management planning
- Conducting site inspections, data collection & environmental assessments
- Preparing reports, modelling & design documentation
- Liaising with clients, councils & stakeholders to support project delivery
- Providing input to construction supervision and environmental engineering approvals
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Environmental Engineering (or BEngTech, Diploma, NZCE, or similar)
- Strong working knowledge of three waters management and stormwater design principles
- Proficiency with Civil3D and MS Office
- Experience with field inspections, data collection, and reporting
- Knowledge of NZ environmental regulations and design standards
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
- A full NZ driver’s license
