Kidsbase OSCAR Programme Assistant Required
$24 - $26 Weekly

Kids Base are looking for vibrant, enthusiastic and proactive staff on a Permanent Part-Time basis to join our team at our Ohoka School, North Canterbury location.
Starting Monday 14th July, this Programme Assistant position offers 17.5 hours per week during school terms (afterschool) and the potential of up to 47.5 hours per week during School Holiday Periods. Applicants must be available to work between the hours of 2:30pm - 6:00pm all weekdays during Primary School Terms.
Kidsbase is a well-established and very successful Before School, After School and School Holiday childcare programme provider for 5-13-year-old children, operating programmes throughout Christchurch and North Canterbury. We pride ourselves that we offer a safe and encouraging environment for the children who attend our programmes, and a fun, enjoyable and supportive environment for the staff who deliver these programmes for us.
This Assistant position would require supporting the programme Supervisor in the day-day programme delivery, assisting with preparing materials and equipment for all activities, increased engagement and achievement within the programme by supporting children and nurturing positive self-esteem.
Additional Requirements:
Clean Police Clearance
Full Driver’s license and own transportation is essential
Desirable qualities:
Outgoing and confident personality
Problem-solving skills
Ability to use the initiative and multi-task
Ideally understands the supervisory responsibilities
Previous childcare experience is beneficial but not essential (specifically for children between 5-13)
