About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi
As the Lead Advisor, Internal Audit, you’ll be responsible for end-to-end delivery of multiple audit reviews, both independently and as part of a team. Reviews assigned to the Lead Advisor are often complex and/or require more specialist skills and experience, requiring a high degree of professional judgement in reaching conclusions and making recommendations. Reviews are either as scheduled in the Internal Audit Plan or ad hoc upon request.
You’ll work across the business where you will be responsible for forming and maintaining effective and constructive relationships with internal stakeholders. Your depth of technical expertise and responsiveness will continue to promote Internal Audit’s credibility as a trusted advisor.
Taking a broad view, you’ll have a key role in identifying opportunities to add value, with an emphasis on providing context and proposing solutions rather than just finding problems.
Other responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership and mentoring across the team – identifying training needs, building capability and enhancing skills.
- Conducting quality reviews of audit documentation and reports.
- Supporting innovation and leading continuous improvements to audit processes and practices as well as wider business control opportunities.
This is a permanent, Wellington based position.
The base salary range for this role is $117,787 – $166,288 with appointment depending on skills and experience and internal relativities. ACC also offers 9% superannuation on top of base salary.
