Maintenance & Grounds Person (Fixed Term, Part-Time)

Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role
The purpose of this role is to support the business by maintaining the facility grounds and buildings, including monthly compliance checks, and supporting the management of external contractors, contributing to the smooth running of the Auckland site.
The ideal candidate for this will be highly skilled in site and grounds maintenance, with a hands-on approach to their work. This involves being actively engaged in various maintenance tasks, ensuring the site remains in excellent condition.
This position reports to the Site Operations Manager and is based at our Auckland (Tamaki) site in St Johns. The position is for a fixed term of 12 months, part-time (22.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday during business hours. The specific work pattern has some flexibility and can be negotiated with the site Manager.

To ensure your success in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Proficiency in performing routine ground and garden maintenance and general site upkeep.
- Ability to do basic repairs and maintenance
- Capability to conduct regular building compliance checks
- Offsite deliveries and purchases
- Vehicle cleaning
- Willingness to do some kitchen duties and function set up.
- An understanding of contractor Health and safety and contractor management.
- A strong health and safety focus, and the ability to apply appropriate health and safety controls.
- Consistent and dependable in fulfilling responsibilities and supporting the team.
- Able to adjust to changing circumstances and handle unexpected challenges.
- Proactive, taking the necessary steps to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Supportive, with a willingness to provide assistance and support to other team members and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Must hold a current full driver's license.
