NZQA is inviting applications for the role of NCEA and New Zealand Scholarship Marker for our 2025/2026 exam cycle.
This contract role is part-time, and manageable alongside a full-time job.

- Curriculum knowledge and teaching experience for the appropriate standard within the New Zealand Curriculum
- Understanding and experience of standards-based assessment and the principles of NCEA and NZ Scholarship
- High level of professionalism, with a strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity
- Strong ability to work and collaborate effectively as part of a team
- The ability to work and deliver to inflexible deadlines.
- The ability to implement and maintain appropriate administrative and communication systems.
- Knowledge of the rights and responsibilities of the partners of the Treaty of Waitangi in an educational assessment setting
- Proven willingness to navigate and engage with online-based systems and support models
- Reliable access to the internet, a smart phone, laptop, or tablet
- Commitment to upholding the NZQA code of conduct and act in a way that is fair, equitable and promotes a positive experience for learners
- Work in a way that is both safe and responsible and does not compromise the health and safety of self or others in the workplace
