About the opportunity
Based in Hawkes Bay, this is a great opportunity for an Operations Planner to join our S&OP & Supply Chain team. We’re on an automation journey to embed best-practice planning, so there is real opportunity to utilise your planning experience and make a positive impact.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement short-term planning processes to optimise inventory, fulfil market plans, and meet logistics deadlines
- Coordinate across the T&G value chain (packhouses, coolstores, sales, and shipping) to align schedules, plans and orders
- Maintain production planning variables in our IBP production planning tool
- Perform root cause analysis on variances, escalate findings, and implement changes
- Develop and implement PowerBI reporting to measure performance and shape business optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
We offer a flexible, hybrid environment with a mix of work-from-home and onsite in our modern workspace in Whakatu.
About you
- Operations / production planning experience in the food industry / primary sector
- Commercial, continuous improvement mindset
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience creating reports in PowerBI
- Exposure to SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) would be a bonus
