We're on the hunt for someone who loves leading the charge on transformational initiatives. You'll be the one who helps our Operations teams work smarter, not harder, by introducing new approaches and coaching them to be their best selves. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to drive continuous improvement and make our operations more efficient, customer-centric, and risk-free.
You'll be working on projects that make a real difference for ASB and our customers in Aotearoa. From operational model reviews to automation initiatives, you'll be the driving force behind our journey to operational excellence. And, with your expertise, we'll be able to make data-led decisions, build a proactive culture around risk management, and create a growth-focused culture that's all about continuous improvement.

As a seasoned operations pro with a passion for transformation, here's what you bring to the team:
- Proven track record - you've got a history of delivering tangible results in challenging situations, and you're all about accountability and focus on outcomes.
- Self-starter mindset - you're always looking for ways to improve yourself, processes, and outcomes, and you're not afraid to challenge the status quo.
- Stakeholder management skills - you're a natural collaborator who can manage and persuade stakeholders of all levels, and you enjoy leading others to achieve common goals.
- Influence skills - you can present benefits and persuade colleagues to try new processes and ways of working, and you're all about finding ways to make things better.
- Excellent communication skills - you're a whiz with words, both written and verbal, and you know how to get your point across.
- Time management skills - you're a master of prioritization, and you can reprioritize easily to balance competing priorities.
- Change management experience - you've got a proven history of embedding improvements long-term, and you're always looking for ways to make things more efficient.
- 8+ years Operations experience - you've got a solid background in operations, with at least 8 years of experience in banking, financial services, or shared services.
- Digital tech skills - you're familiar with digital technologies, agile, lean six sigma, and/or human-centred design, and you're always looking for ways to leverage these tools to drive transformation.
- Relevant degree - you've got a degree in a relevant field, and you're always looking for ways to apply your knowledge to drive results.
