We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to lead our payroll function.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to lead our payroll function. In this full-time role (40 hours per week), you will oversee the end-to-end payroll process for our organisation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. You will also supervise one other payroll team member, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process the organisation’s payroll in accordance with relevant legislation and internal policies
- Support one payroll administrator, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
- Ensure compliance with tax, superannuation, and employment regulations
- Maintain accurate payroll records and reporting using Datapay and Humanforce
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders as needed
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy

About You
- Proven experience in payroll administration, with a strong understanding of NZ payroll legislation
- Previous leadership experience is desirable
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- A commitment to the values and mission of the not-for-profit sector
