About the Role
The Planning & Delivery Performance Analyst plays a vital role within the Digital Delivery team, focusing on analysing and optimising delivery performance to drive successful digital initiatives. Operating at a delivery level, this role is responsible for ensuring that projects are effectively planned, tracked, and measured to enable data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. Collaborating closely with the Manager Delivery Enablement, project teams, and stakeholders, the analyst develops insightful performance reports, reporting frameworks, and process enhancements that improve delivery efficiency and outcomes. Additionally, the role supports the creation of metrics, dashboards, and analytical tools to provide clear visibility into project health, resource utilisation, and overall delivery performance.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Planning and Delivery Performance Analyst sits within the Digital Delivery team and reports to the Manager Delivery Enablement that sits within the Group Manager PMO & Delivery Enablement, forming part of the broader Digital Services function. Digital Delivery is a centre of excellence, established to unify programme management and strategic delivery capabilities across Digital Services. It plays a critical role in advancing nationally prioritised outcomes by driving efficient, consistent, and high-quality delivery practices. The team works closely with regional Directors Digital and partners across Digital Health Strategy and Design, Digital Applications and Products, and Digital Operations to enable successful digital transformation initiatives that support the evolving needs of New Zealand's health system.
About you
You are a skilled performance analyst with a strong background in digital delivery and a passion for using data to drive continuous improvement in complex environments. You bring a strategic mindset, collaborative approach, and a focus on enhancing delivery efficiency and effectiveness through robust analysis and insightful reporting. You will also have the following skills and experience to support your success in the role:
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in performance analysis or business analysis, preferably within digital delivery or IT environments
- Proven ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data to monitor performance and identify actionable trends
- Skilled in developing and maintaining KPIs and metrics to measure project and delivery success
- Experienced in creating reports and dashboards using data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Familiarity with project management methodologies including Agile and Waterfall
- Experience in working on delivery tools such as PlanView, Atlassian Jira are desirable
