We have an opportunity for an experienced Platform Lead to join our Technology team and be part of the team who supports our People & Culture business (7 month fixed term opportunity).
This is an Auckland based hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly.

What are some of the day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?
- Collaborate with various stakeholders across tech and business.
- Plan and facilitate execution of exciting projects delivering significant business value and required maintenance operations which underpin smooth business flow.
- Coach and mentor the team-members to drive performance and excellence at internal processes.
- Fulfil service ownership and risk management duties.
- Contribute to developing team and wider BNZ tech via sharing experience and challenging existing processes.
What is the team culture and environment like?
We are quite tight team who are working closely with our business team. We collaborate often and this gives us opportunity to deliver business benefits faster. We have embraced Agile ways of working, yet we are still enhancing our practices. We are a fun bunch.
What projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year?
The biggest rock for us now is the implementation of Learning, Performance and Talent management in Workday at the same time we are running our core operations in there so we require a person with great finesse at executing project work and running operations simultaneously.
What is your management style?
I’m direct yet considerate. At any point in time, you will have clear understanding of your goals and priorities. You will get enough authority to run by yourself, but I will always be there when you need me would this be just some advice or a fight for the right purpose.
What do we want you to know before you apply?
We are tech crew who support our People & Culture team, so we look after all the systems which relate to general employee life, payroll, learning, performance, health and safety, etc. That is about 20 different applications which mostly represented by SaaS solutions and Workday and ADP are the key elements of this suite. We transitioned core HR and payroll operations into those last year and off the rough waters now, but we are keen to expand functionality further while keeping daily operations going uninterrupted.
What technical skills are required for this role?
Technical team management skills and experience within enterprise Agile environment are essential. As the people leadership skills and prior experience with running operations and/or implementation for Workday. General knowledge of HR and payroll business processes and their dependency on respective automation within enterprise level organisation is a must.
What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
We are seeking a leader who can hit the ground running. You appeal to our stakeholders because you can speak their language and quick in learning their problems and suggesting suitable solutions to those. Also, our team will love you because you know a lot about solving tech issues with HCM and payroll solutions and their integrations. We need you to be super communicative, open and authentic.
