Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
We currently have 2 x full-time, 12-month fixed term roles, based at 80 Queen Street, Auckland – this is an exciting time to join the Customer & Product Integration Team as we prepare to move the core banking systems onto new platforms!
We work in a fast-paced, agile environment, supporting various projects with changing business needs and deadlines, so we are looking for people who are proactive, able to effectively manage their workflow and adapt to changing priorities.
We sat down with our Customer & Product Integration Team Lead, and they let us know the following about the role:
What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?
The best part about this opportunity (apart from joining an amazing, collaborative team!) is that you will be able to enhance your skills and develop your banking knowledge.
We are a unique team that supports a variety of different projects and areas within the Bank, meaning you will be able to constantly learn and get exposure to different products, processes and systems.
What projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year?
We are currently supporting a number of significant projects across the Bank from multiple stakeholders and business areas (i.e. Business Lending, Authority Migration, Wealth and Home Lending).
Over the next 12 months there will be a particular focus on supporting the Core Ledger Replacement (CLR) Programme, which will include data investigation, data cleansing and data remediation in preparation for migration to new bank platforms.
What are some of the key tasks the person in this role will complete?
- Utilising your research, data analysis and data entry skills to assist in the prioritisation and delivery of a wide range of issues through to closure or remediation.
- Validation and cleansing of incorrect data currently held in the Core Operating system in preparation of the Data migration to Temenos.
- Analysing data to understand issues, root cause & prepare for remediation activities.
- Understanding operational processes, account operating authorities, regulatory requirements, and risk settings to contribute to the digital authority strategy.
- Managing day to day operational activities which are efficient, productive, of high quality and sustainable for the migration of customer account authorities.
What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
Given the roles have a substantial data analysis focus, we are looking for someone with:
- exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work confidently with large data sets.
- at least 2 years’ experience within the banking sector, with a good understanding of customer types, ideally consumer and/or business lending knowledge.
- the ability to work in an agile environment and effectively manage your workflow to achieve agreed deadlines.
- strong Excel skills, Hadoop and SQL are also advantageous
If you are a collaborative team player, with a good sense of humour and a great work ethic then you will fit right in!
