The Auckland Metropolitan Property Coordinator is responsible for providing a high level of administrative and systems support to the Property & Facilities Manager. They will contribute to the overall efficiency of the Property team, collaborating with colleagues to provide efficient, consistent levels of support and service delivery, building effective linkages with all stakeholders, including other St John teams/business units to achieve excellent engagement that supports delivery of the National Property Strategy.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with all Property, Infrastructure and regional team members, acting as a professional point of contact and referral for enquiries, while contributing to and maintaining systems that guarantee efficiency and consistently excellent team, internal and external customer service.
- Act as the first point of contact for all minor service-related calls and queries, assisting internal customers (including Area Committees and St John staff) to ensure minor issues are fixed in a timely manner, while responding to all requests promptly, politely, and effectively in accordance with Hato Hone St Joh's core values.
- Working with the Property and Facilities Manager, coordinate routine repairs and maintenance tasks across St John business units, allocating them to approved contractors, with any necessary updates provided to functional managers and Regional General Managers to ensure they are aware of related progress.
- Support and assist with health safety and security requirements and requests, as required, to ensure staff, property and asset safety.
- As a key member of the Property team, ensure effective collaboration (in and outside of the function) in the role to help ensure that qualitative and quantitative data are considered and integrated into improvements across the workstream.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, you’ll bring:
- Administrative and/or Property Management qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Experience in a Property, Infrastructure,Finance, Project Coordination and/or Facilities administration role, with practical knowledge/experience of managing property.
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation/ planning skills, with effective time management skills and experience in the coordination of activities.
- Strong customer focus and a professional attitude combined with a high work capacity and standards/levels of accuracy and attention to detail; able to work unsupervised, and use own initiative as well as follow instructions, when required.
