About the Role

We are looking for a registered Psychologist for our Renal and Diabetes Services at Whakatāne Hospital, Bay of Plenty Hauora a Toi.

This is a new position working with the teams to develop a strong multi-disciplinary approach to their services. This position is permanent part time with 0.4 FTE (16 hours a week) allocated to renal services and 0.1 FTE (4 hours a week) allocated to the diabetes service. About the location and team

Be still and listen to the native bird chorus in our bush clad walkways, plus swim in the cleanest freshwater lakes around. Come join our team who are already enjoying a uniquely rewarding lifestyle outside of the main cities. Whakatāne is small but mighty, featuring all the things you need whilst remaining within easy travel to Tauranga and Rotorua for that little bit extra.

This role sits within the Te Koru Rehabilitation department, whilst working within the renal and diabetes services. The renal service is a small department with six chairs and runs six days a week with two shifts.

The Te Koru Rehabilitation department includes allied health professionals across acute services, inpatient, rehabilitation, community and outpatient services. We have supportive teams and our acute, outpatient and community allied health teams work together to support each other, providing best outcomes for our clients and a fantastic working atmosphere!
