Te Tūranga | About the role:
The Quality Assessor in Secondary Butchery is responsible for ensuring quality systems and inspections are implemented and maintained within the department; and that processing operations are consistent with customer and regulatory requirements and company policy. You will champion our quality initiatives and compliance, and implementation of all regulatory, customer and company standards.
Our plant operates both a day and an evening shift, so the successful applicant will need to be available flexibly (with reasonable lead time provided) Monday to Friday, approx. 5:30AM-3:30PM or 2:00PM-12:00AM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete all customer and regulatory requirements accurately and on time
- Carry out verification duties for audits, temperature checks and microbiological sampling on a daily basis
- Escalate where appropriate any recurring, major or critical defects
- Assist in the management of site HACCP systems and ensure the food safety programme is maintained
