About this role | Mo tenei turanga
This is a permanent full-time position based at our Whanganui office, completing resourcing audits of schools and early learning services across the Taranaki, Whanganui, Manawatu
region.
Resourcing Auditors have delegation under the Education and Training Act 2020 to enter and inspect schools and licensed early learning services for the purpose of completing audits, to verify that resourcing claims are accurate and meet Ministry resourcing requirements. This involves some national travel and working on location in schools and licensed early learning services, as well as in the Ministry's offices.
Salary range: $84,425 - $102,271 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mohou ake
To be successful in the role, you will need a tertiary qualification or experience working in a public sector agency, auditing experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong relationship management skills. You will need to have the ability to travel (may include overnight)
You will also offer:
- strong relationship management skills, including conflict resolution and ability to adapt communication style to the intended audience
- problem solving and strategic thinking skills, including the ability to make decisions by strategically balancing conflicting factors
- excellent time management and organisational skills - must be able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively
- knowledge and proven experience of the principles of auditing
- The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

The Resourcing Monitoring and Assurance Team provides the Ministry with assurance that schools and licensed early learning (ECE) services have received the correct resourcing entitlement. This involves completing resource allocation audits, special reviews and the reconciliation of resourcing and funding claims in both the school and early learning sectors
