Millennium have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Retail Security Guard at a local retail shopping centre in Hornby, Christchurch.
We are looking for an experienced and capable Security Guard to join the Millennium Team to ensure we continue to provide a top-class service to our client and Mall customers.
Shift Details:
Thursday, Friday, Saturday ............................... 1700 - 2215 hours
You must be available for every shift.

You must have:
- A current Green Certificate of Approval
- First Aid Certificate is preferred (completion could be arranged by Management)
- A high level of fitness - as you will be on your feet for the duration of your shift
- Medium Level Computing skills
- CCTV Camera Training preferred (not essential)
- A good attitude and willingness to learn
- Approachable and presentable appearance and nature
- Pass a criminal background check
- Have reliable transport to get to and from site reliably
Security experience is required for this role.
A mature outlook is required as you are providing a professional security presence and will be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for customers and employees, as well as supporting the Centre Management Team in all areas of risk.
Primary duties and responsibilities include patrolling and monitoring premises, providing a customer-friendly and professional security presence, maintain vigilance, and acting in a swift and calm manner when required. You are required to have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal in English, as you will be required to use RT communication and produce written reports.
You must always maintain the highest integrity and honesty and be able to work as part of a Team.
