Freightways is seeking a Product Owner – Architecture and Cyber Security to join our IT governance function. This is a pivotal role responsible for guiding enterprise architecture processes and leading the delivery of key cyber security initiatives across our group of businesses.
You will work closely with architects, engineers, delivery teams, and business stakeholders to ensure architecture governance is upheld, security risk is managed, and the right work is prioritised and executed. Key Responsibilities
- Product Ownership & Prioritisation
Manage and maintain product backlogs for both Architecture and Cyber Security; translate business and compliance needs into actionable work. - Agile Delivery Leadership
Lead agile ceremonies, track progress, and ensure high-value delivery across strategic initiatives and technical enhancements. - Governance, Risk & Compliance
Support frameworks aligned to standards like ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIST; maintain risk registers, compliance reporting, and control documentation. - Cyber Security Projects
Define scopes and timelines, coordinate across technical teams and vendors, and ensure security initiatives meet business and regulatory objectives. - Cross-Group Engagement
Build strong relationships across business units, act as a bridge between security and operations, and promote shared responsibility for cyber security. - Culture & Advocacy
Help embed a proactive and risk-aware security culture across all Freightways businesses.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in a product ownership or delivery role, ideally in architecture or cyber security environments
- Can easily form strong and sustainable working relationships with business and technology stakeholders alike
- Working knowledge of GRC practices and enterprise technology environments
- Ability to manage competing priorities, communicate clearly, and lead without authority
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, risk frameworks, and enterprise change delivery
