Qualifications

There will be many opportunities for you to learn and grow into this role and Microsoft. However, to be able to best deliver on the purpose of this role, these are the core skills and experiences you should have on day one:
  • 10+ years of building strategic business partnerships through selling or consulting with enterprise customers. Equally considered will be 5+ years of experience driving digital transformation from within the enterprise customer.
  • Executive Account management experience; developing and overseeing the execution of strategic territory and account plans
  • An understanding of how to build a technical strategy and roadmap, gaining executive buy in and how to orchestrate a team to execute against that.
  • Passion for and a knowledge of a range of technical solutions such as AI, cloud platforms, applications, security, and productivity tools.
  • Sales management and people management experience having coached or managed a team of sales and technical talent, leading through influence without authority
  • Experience in leading/orchestrating diverse v-teams, including global and local teams
  • A great storyteller able to influence, impact and deliver on our valued differentiators by sharing our Industry Cloud Solutions.
  • Adaptable communication style: The ability to adapt one's behavior to different people and situations, while recognising, acknowledging and understanding different perspectives, modeling a global growth mindset with intercultural awareness.
The most successful Account Executives are resourceful, master orchestrators of virtual teams, and exceptionally curious to listen and learn from their customers. These attributes allow them to advise and elevate their customer’s business.

The Senior Account Executive at Microsoft leads our most valued customers into the digital age. Embracing a challenger mindset, the successful Account Executive manages, orchestrates, and leads their virtual teams and closes opportunities with customers that produce transformative business outcomes.
  • The Senior Account Executive sets the strategy, drives action and progress towards strategic objectives and value realization, by solving for the customers business outcomes with multi-year goals.
  • They bring innovation and ideas, creating new initiatives for business value through technology capability towards digital transformation.
  • They own the trusted CXO level relationships and deep networks in business and are the visionary that takes their customers leaders on a journey using industry and business acumen to make those dreams of today, tangible business outcomes of tomorrow.
