Your role and responsibilities:
This senior leadership role leads the Smart Buildings and Smart Power, including e-Mobility, divisions in New Zealand and Fiji.
In this role you will have the opportunity and full autonomy to lead 3 of our key divisions across New Zealand, as the most senior leader in country. Full P&L ownership and the opportunity to develop and build upon the success of an effective sales strategy and team within New Zealand. Seeking and entrepreneurial leader to continue to improve ABB’s market penetration and realize the growth aspirations. You will also showcase your expertise by leading, developing, and coaching the Sales organization (other sales managers and sales specialists within scope) to achieve the sales targets, through high performance.

Lead and develop the New Zealand sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for Smart Buildings, Smart Power, and e-Mobility divisions across New Zealand and Fiji.
Drive sustainable business growth through strategic planning, market expansion, and customer acquisition.
Lead the Marketing & Sales organisation, ensuring effective execution of campaigns, pipeline development, and customer engagement.
Champion a strong Safety (HSE) and Integrity culture, embedding these values into daily operations and leadership practices.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging customer insights and allocating resources to maximise impact.
Collaborate cross-functionally with regional and global teams to deliver integrated solutions and achieve business outcomes.
Ensure superior customer experience, overseeing fulfilment processes and acting on feedback from customer surveys.

.Qualifications for the role
You are an experienced commercial business leader who has managed or has the capability to manage full P&L and business leadership responsibilities
Ability to lead at all-levels of an organisation, support and develop people and drive performance. Manage remote sales teams and work with colleagues globally across times-zones.
Ability to demonstrate your experience in the electrical distribution, products, systems or service or related industries. Ideally with an engineering degree qualification. Preferably with business management experience/qualification, but not mandatory.
Thrives in an autonomous role and a mature leader
Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies.
Ideally have distribution/distributors experience
You are at ease communicating across all levels, including c-suite, government and other industry stakeholders.
You hold current drivers license and have relevant permissions/visa to work in New Zealand
