About the Role
This is the perfect role for someone keen to champion a robust, forward-looking health and safety culture.
You'll be involved with leading key initiatives that ensure legislative compliance while actively developing and enhancing systems that support the wellbeing and safety of our people.
This is a high-impact, strategic role where your expertise will directly influence leadership capability, risk management practices, and organisational culture. Collaborating with our leaders and their team's enterprise wide, you'll play a vital role in guiding health and safety strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement.
You will be:
- Providing strategic, evidence-based advice on all aspects of health and safety.
- With support, leading the design, delivery and evaluation of strategic HS initiatives, providing expert guidance to align HS priorities with organisational objectives
- Leading the management of incident investigations.
- Using data, insights, and reporting to influence organisational decision-making and cultural change.
- Partnering across People and Capability teams to ensure an integrated approach to wellbeing and safety.
- Facilitating workshops, training, and communications that engage and build capability at all levels.
The salary range for this role is between $115,536 to 141,751. The starting salary will be dependent on skills and experience, while also taking into account internal relativities.
About you:

- Ideally a Tertiary or postgraduate qualification in health and safety or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in health and safety, including 2+ years in a senior advisory capacity.
- Deep understanding of NZ health and safety legislation, standards, and best practice.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels of an organisation.
- Experience designing or refining health and safety management systems in large or complex environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and coaching skills.
- A full NZ driver's licence is essential.
