This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week
The remuneration range for this role is $108,644 to $153,379 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience
The opportunity
We're looking for someone who thrives in collaborative environments and brings strong investment planning expertise to help navigate complex challenges. In this role, you'll work across the business to develop, prioritise, and monitor investment plans that support Long Term Plans and programmes. You'll be skilled at integrating strategic, operational, and financial insights into clear, actionable products that support decision-making and deliver value to our stakeholders.
You will get to:
- Connect across the organisation to help understand and prioritise investments
- Develop subject matter expertise in what's needed to support the delivery of three waters services for our communities
- Work with a team to plan programmes of future investments that will be delivered as the new Local Water Done Well Entity, Metro Water
- Develop key investment planning products including prioritisation frameworks.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring the following:
- A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, economics, investment planning, asset management, or associated similar discipline
- Five + years' relevant experience e.g. Investment planning experience or financial forecasting experience ideally in a public investment setting
- Be highly skilled and experienced in financial data analysis (ideally using MS Excel) that leads to good decision making
- Experience in supporting the preparation of business cases, budget bids or economic case development including strength in cost benefit analysis.
