As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in understanding and analysing business requirements for the team. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure that the solutions delivered meet the needs of the business and our customers.
This is a Wellington based hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly. Anchor days in the office are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?
- Develop and implement modern technology foundations to enhance BNZ's colleague experience.
- Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to deliver connected and unified experiences across colleague channels.
- Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders and the platform team to capture and document business needs for shared understanding.
- Support the definition, prioritisation, and ongoing measurements of outcomes to ensure initiatives stay on track to deliver measurable value.
- Ensure the seamless integration of new features and functionalities into existing colleague platforms.

What technical skills / skills are REQUIRED for this role?
This is an opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst with a proven track record supporting IT projects through structured analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and clear documentation. You will also bring experience:
- Gathering and refining business and technical requirements through workshops and stakeholder discussions.
- Working with developers, testers, platform owners, and business users to maintain alignment and shared understanding.
- Solving complex problems, analysing data and systems, and providing actionable insights.
- Mapping processes, data flows, and system interactions to support solution design.
What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams is essential. You will have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Alongside your strong problem-solving skills, you will have a proactive approach to addressing challenges and a passion for delivering high quality solutions to colleagues.
