Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
In this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing communication and engagement strategies and plans to ensure effective delivery of local projects and programmes. Additionally, this role will collaborate with the local project delivery team and liaise with the project stakeholders in the community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and deliver high-quality communication and engagement plans that ensure successful delivery of key projects for AT at a local level.
- Develop and lead stakeholder and community engagement activities, plans including construction to support local projects and programmes.
- Oversee and facilitate summary, analysis and feedback on consultations and other local engagement exercise, drawing on specialist expertise and support across the teams as required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the division, including the elected member partners, to ensure a consistent approach to local communications and engagement.
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
- 7 years' experience in communications and/or engagement roles or 7 years in a similar field such as journalism, government relations or infrastructure communications.
- An understanding of the public sector and local government landscape.
- Experience with writing and delivering communications and engagement strategies and plans.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in communications or business.
- Prior experience working with local communities, community organisations and business and/or resident associations
