About the Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
We’re looking for a Senior Front-End Developer to join our Digital Practice. In this role, you’ll bring user interfaces to life. Designing and building modern, responsive, and accessible web applications that deliver exceptional user experiences.
What You Will Do | Ngā haepapa
- Develop responsive, accessible, and high-performing front-end applications using Angular and TypeScript
- Collaborate with designers, back-end developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into elegant UI solutions
- Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs and cloud-based services
- Contribute to front-end architecture decisions and advocate for best practices
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior developers and share knowledge within the team
- Stay up to date with front-end trends, tools, and emerging technologies
Must-Have:
- 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development
- Strong hands-on experience with Angular 10+, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS
- Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and working with JSON
- Familiarity with responsive design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and cross-browser compatibility
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of Agile development practices (Scrum/Kanban)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- You’ve helped foster a culture of learning, inclusivity, and innovation
- A valid NZ work visa, NZ Residency, or NZ Citizenship.
- Experience with React, Vue, or other modern front-end frameworks
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD tools
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, Roo Code) to aid development
- Understanding of front-end performance optimisation techniques
- Exposure to testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Karma, Cypress)
- Knowledge of UX principles or experience working closely with UX/UI designers
