Looking for a change of scenery with a role that balances meaningful clinical work and a great lifestyle? We’re looking for a Head and Neck consultant ORL surgeon to join our family and bring their skills to where they matter the most.
Counties Manukau is the second largest district in Aotearoa (600,000 population) and home to some of the most socioeconomically disadvantaged populations. This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver specialist care in a setting where your clinical expertise has the power to directly transform lives, families and communities.
About the Team/Service/ Location
You’ll be joining a passionate team of specialists, resident medical officers, nurses, and allied health professionals committed to high-quality, equitable ORL service that spans:
- Acute and elective ORL care across 2 sites (Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Health Park)
- Subspecialties include head and neck cancer, paediatrics, rhinology and otology
- Supervision of trainees and students, service development, and equity-driven initiatives
- A collaborative, supportive, and future-focused working environment
About you
- Eligible for vocational registration in New Zealand (FRACS or equivalent)
- Has experience in high-needs population or a passion for health equity
- Is collegial, collaborative, culturally competent, and committed to lifelong learning
- Enjoys mentoring, service improvement, and making a difference
