As a Senior People Advisor, you will be reporting to the People Business Partner, immersing yourself in employment relations and HR support for leaders and teams across the diverse Te Ihu Region (encompassing Nelson/Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury and Mid-South Canterbury districts). Your role involves offering timely, grounded advice, evaluating the current state, and recommending solutions. Collaborating with leaders, you'll promote a culture of people development and provide solutions to complex HR challenges.

To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will:
- Haverelevant qualifications or experience working in HR.
- Experience in employment relations, with a demonstrated ability to quickly progress to a level of delivery appropriate to the seniority of the role.
- Good knowledge of current New Zealand employment law and HR practices and how this relates to the organisational context.
- The ability to coach and mentor managers to enhance overall capability in people management.
As this role supports the Te Ihu region, applicants will need to have flexibility and availability for afterhours work and be flexible to travel.
