About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi
We’re looking for a forward-thinking Senior Procurement Partner to join our Enterprise Procurement team, leading procurement for ACC’s Health portfolio. This is a pivotal role in our transformation—where procurement is not just a process, but a strategic enabler of better outcomes.
You’ll be at the forefront of embedding our new business partnering model and strategy development, working closely with stakeholders to co-design procurement strategies that are innovative, commercially sound, and aligned with ACC’s broader goals. You’ll lead complex, high-value procurements and mentor others in the team, helping to shape a consistent, enterprise-wide approach.
This role is more than just sourcing- it’s about owning the full commercial lifecycle. From early market engagement and shaping category strategies, through to contract performance and supplier relationship management , you’ll play a key role in delivering long term value and resilience. You will be able help ACC navigate a dynamic health sector landscape by developing market strategies that are future focused and outcomes driven to influence how procurement delivers value across ACC, driving change and building trusted relationships that make a real difference.
This is a permanent role based in Wellington.
The base salary range for this role is $117,787 – 166,288 with appointment depending on skills and experience. ACC also offers 9% superannuation on top of base salary.

We’re looking for someone who’s not just experienced – but curious, collaborative and ready to challenge the status quo. You’ll bring:
- Proven experience in leading strategic end to end procurement processes, ideally in a health sector context but not essential.
- Strong understanding of the NZ Government Procurement Rules and how to apply them creatively.
- A partnership mindset – able to build trust, influence outcomes and turn insights into action.
- Experience developing and implementing market and category strategies.
- A deep understanding of the commercial lifecycle and supplier performance management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
