Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
As Senior Software Developer, you will play a key role in UC's agile software development teams, delivering high-quality software solutions that meet business needs. You'll be involved in all aspects of the development lifecycle—from design and coding to testing, deployment, and documentation.
You'll also contribute to mentoring and supporting junior developers, sharing your expertise to foster team growth. Your work will span integration, automation, and support, ensuring UC's digital platforms are robust, scalable, and secure.
Mōu | Who You Are
You have significant commercial software development experience (7+ years') or hold a relevant post-graduate qualification.
- Software developers at UC can expect to use a variety of languages, frameworks and tools throughout their career. For this project, you should have experience with several of the following:
- Back-end application/web service development with .Net Core, including API design (required)
- Some exposure to front-end web application development with React, NodeJS and Typescript
- Microservice development, and asynchronous event-based programming
- Azure Platform as a Service application development, including APIM, Azure networking and Event Hub
- Source control with Git, and CI/CD tools and techniques, as well as unit and automated testing
- Domain Driven Design
- DevOps & Site Reliability Engineering
- Integration with internal and external systems
- An alignment with our organisation's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
As our team works in an agile manner, it's important that you are adaptable, enjoying working in a collaborative environment, have an eye for detail, and can communicate effectively.
