We achieve this, in part by the use of high quality and professionally built IT systems and tools for our employees to use. The Support & Customer Services area is responsible for the provision of proactive and robust first and second level customer support and services (covering enterprise applications, hardware, software and peripherals) to all users of these Council systems.
Each team is responsible for the implementation of best practice - using methodologies and appropriate policies and procedures across Service Desk and support activities.

- You will have extensive Service Desk experience in supporting hardware & software in a large organisation, ideally within a local government setting.
- You will possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills, as well as a high level of knowledge of key Council systems, hardware and business process and be comfortable providing training to new team members as well as providing ongoing mentoring to existing team members.
- A high level of interpersonal skills and experience will enable you to provide leadership support on behalf of the Service Desk for any project activity coupled with your willingness to continue learning in a rapidly evolving environment.

Hours of work - Shifts between 7.30am - 5.30pm (full-time hours)
Position - Permanent full time
Location - This position is primarily based at Te Hononga, Christchurch City Council Civic Offices - 53 Hereford Street
Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $88,003 to $97,781 per annum based on a 40 hour week. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
