Service Manager – Residential & Rural Sites
Location: Tauranga, Bay of Plenty
Position: Permanent, Full-time
Weekly Hours- 30 hours (Opportunity of overtime when available)
Hourly Wages: $30.00 to $35.00
We are currently seeking a Cleaning Manager to manage and supervise our cleaning
operations across residential and rural sites in Bay of Plenty. The ideal candidate will have
at least 2 years of experience in cleaning services, with a strong focus on maintaining high
standards of cleanliness and service delivery in diverse environments. This role involves
regular site visits to both new and existing client locations to ensure services are delivered
according to company policies.
Job Duties include:
Manage and supervise the planning and implementation of cleaning services across
Residential and Rural properties, ensuring all tasks are completed effectively.
Manage and plan workforce deployment and job timelines to accommodate site-
specific requirements, including challenges posed by rural environments.
Oversee rostering and time management of cleaning crews, aligning team capacity
with project scope and environmental conditions at both residential and rural sites.
Conduct regular site inspections across Residential and Rural sites to ensure all
cleaning work meets hygiene, safety, and compliance standards.
Develop and implement quality assurance procedures tailored for both residential and
rural cleaning sites.
Lead resolution of service issues by working closely with site supervisors and
cleaners to ensure quick and effective results.
Negotiate and manage supplier contracts for cleaning chemicals and consumables,
ensuring all materials meet industry-specific safety standards.
Manage inventory for all job sites, ensuring adequate supplies of cleaning agents and
tools for both residential and rural locations.
Monitor the condition and lifecycle of equipment used for cleaning and coordinate
their maintenance and upgrades, including those suitable for rural site conditions.
Manage the dedicated fleet of transport vehicles used for staff and
equipment movement across residential and rural sites, ensuring full
compliance with safety and vehicle standards
Organise vehicle maintenance schedules, registration renewals, and roadworthiness
inspections, ensuring transport availability aligns with operational needs at both
residential and rural sites.
The successful candidate must also meet the following additional requirements:
Hold a valid driver’s licence for car operation
Have a clean police record
Possess a good understanding of cleaning chemicals, including safe handling,
usage, and storage according to industry and safety standards
