We are currently looking for a Skilled Operative/Drainage, Sewerage and Stormwater Labourer to join our company Pipeline and Civil Limited.
Please note - We are based in both the Taranaki and Auckland region, however you will have to be available to work North Island wide.
About The Role:
We are looking for a Skilled Operative/Drainage, Sewerage and Stormwater Labourer with hands-on experience in water and wastewater pipes ranging from approx. 150mm to 600mm diameter pipelines and transmission. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on essential infrastructure projects, ensuring their successful completion with a focus on quality and sustainability.
Requirements:
- Experience laying large diameter pipelines in urban roadways adjacent to existing utilities and live traffic
- Clean RTW license
- Clean NZ Class 1
- Current First Aid certificate
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices in construction.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be willing to undergo and pass verification of competency.
- Must be able to pass police checks and a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be willing to undergo random drug and alcohol testing if successfully employed.
- Must be available to work North Island wide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on large-diameter water and wastewater pipelines eg: pipes ranging from approx. 150mm to 600mm
- Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment necessary for pipeline construction and transmission.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.
- Adhere to industry standards, regulations, and best practices in all tasks.
- Assist in resolving any on-site issues that arise.
- Contribute to sustainable practices and solutions on projects.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience in working with water and wastewater pipelines and transmission. 1-2 years is preferred.
- Proficiency in using relevant tools and equipment.
- Strong understanding of industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications or training in pipeline construction and maintenance is preferred.
Hours of work and pay rate
- Minimum 55 hours per week.
- Hourly wage is between $30 – 34.99/hr, depending on experience.
- Regular work hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. You may also be required to work on Saturdays to meet project deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 55 per week
