Spend this summer as a Software Developer in Test Intern helping transform our forestry sector using cutting-edge technologies with an industry-leading organisation!
What You Will Do
As a Software Developer in Test Intern within Trimble Forestry, you will work as an integral member of one of our software development teams, developing our suite of Forestry products. This position is for working over the summer period, starting in November 2025.
Your team is a forward-thinking group, working collaboratively to transform the world through the application of cutting-edge technology, and you will be involved in extending Forestry’s test automation suite in suitable technology (Playwright), which will be able to help improve the automation of our regression and functional test cases.
This will have you doing the following:
Manage and coordinate with developers to deploy and deliver successful applications
Establish and achieve goals using sprint scrum methodologies, and contribute to the retrospective meetings
Improve device and user inventory by building tools, using Playwright and other tools, that run on customer deployments
Facilitate a bridge between the QA team and the Web Developer
Check work into the git repository on a secure server
Test your own code and be able to identify issues early by running tests
Handle SDET tasks for deployments of test suites against new features.

What You'll Bring?
Along with being a team player, with strong attention to detail, work prioritisation skills, and a collaborative communication and working style, you should also possess the following:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Mechatronics, or other related field
Software engineering knowledge and experience
Experience implementing common software design patterns
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Agile, positive, and methodical
Enjoy working with new and emerging technology.
