About the role:
The Financial Crime platform maintain and support compliant systems, to prevent and manage the impact of financial crime. Within this platform we have projects to uplift the data sources and applications to cater to the platform's strategic objectives.
As a Software Specialist, you will apply your experience in banking domain, data / ETL testing and test automation expertise to help lead the team in building, supporting, and maintaining our applications and contribute to the overall testing processes within the squad.
You'll be part of a team on the forefront of working to deliver and support a secure, functional and performance ecosystem to our customers. We advocate agile, fully cross functional squads which will take you through all facets of engineering in any given day. We are looking for a mix of Regulatory and Compliance project experience and technical skills to support the following activities:
- Reviewing requirements and specifications.
- Contributing to agile testing strategies and plans.
- ETL / ELT and Data Testing
- Web application Functional Testing
- Integration and End to End Testing
- Building and supporting ETL / ELT test automation.
- Building and supporting performance testing.
- Verifying and validating functionality being developed.
- Analysing and reporting test results.
- Attention to details is key to identify issues within functionalities
- Working with key stakeholders for testing end to end and obtain sign- off.
About you:
We are looking for an individual that will champion the squad's quality goals. If you have an eye on detail and like to see how things work, you will have a lot of fun with us. You will work collaboratively with our squads and stakeholders to be the voice of test engineering and deliver better & safer customer experiences. We are looking for someone who has:
- 10+ years of test engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience of testing ETL, databases and data warehouses.
- Proven knowledge across data layer testing, functional testing, system integration testing, API testing, end to end testing and performance testing.
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
- Good understanding and experience of working using Agile principles.
- Experience in developing, maintaining and executing test automation.
- Mentoring/ guiding on standards and best practices.
- Experience on defining test strategies, test plans, exit reports.
- Experience on test estimating, negotiating and prioritizing of work.
- Your proven initiative, problem solving abilities and technical leadership will make you well suited to this role.
In addition, the following would be an advantage:
- Financial/banking domain experience.
- Certified in ISTQB Fundamentals.
- Working experience with Snowflake, dbt.
- Working experience on Regulatory and Compliance projects including AML Transaction Monitoring, Prescribed Transaction Reporting
