Te Tūranga - The Role:
Our Emergency Management Bay of Plenty team is working across a range of activities to support our communities and prepare for future emergencies...and we need your help!
To support these efforts, we need someone to help us:
- Support the operation of the Bay of Plenty Emergency Management Centre
- Develop or maintain emergency management plans, documents, reports, presentations, or other materials
- Attend meetings, trainings, and other professional development opportunities
- Undertake annual audit, stocktake and maintenance of emergency management equipment, digital systems, plans and contact databases
- Participate in responses and/or exercises as required
- Undertake annual audit, stocktake and maintenance of emergency management equipment, digital systems, plans and contact databases
- Provide technical and/or administrative assistance in emergency management projects
- Research and synthesize information related to emergency management topics
- Provide administrative support at workshops and events
You’ll be joining Emergency Management Bay of Plenty and supporting a team whose purpose is to prepare for and response to emergency events affecting our communities.
Ngā Pūkenga, ngā wheako - Your Skills & Experience:
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, driven to support others around them and possess the following skills and experience:
- Proactive, logical and keen to get involved in a wide range of tasks.
- An understanding of Emergency Management and emergency event response.
- Ideally have NCEA Level 3.
- Ideally have an Emergency Management related qualification or be working towards one.
- Experience in working as part of a diverse team.
- Hold a current driver's licence.
These positions will be located in Tauranga.
