About the role - Korero mo te turanga
You will have the opportunity to grow, evolve, learn new skills and do work that matters in this Team Administrator/Development Support Officer role. This position is Fixed Term to February 2027 due to an internal secondment.
Reporting to the Team Leader, Business Services you will be responsible for providing a range of administrative and business support services to the managers and professional staff within the Pacific and Development Group.
These exciting and varied roles will see you involved in a wide range of customer service and administrative tasks including:
- financial administration
- information and database management
- correspondence
- travel and event coordination
- diary management and meeting coordination
- contract support
- arranging Transfers to our High Commissions/Embassies

Some of our TA/DSO roles may have a particular focus area that they support their divisions with. We are currently recruiting for a TA/DSO for a division that fronts the Pacific and Development Group Emergency Coordination Centre. This may mean the TA/DSO is required to provide admin support, in a humanitarian crisis, outside of usual business hours and may also hold the Duty Officer phone, outside of usual business hours, to receive and forward emergency alerts. We ask candidates to take these into consideration when applying for the role.
The salary range is $64,940 to midpoint $72,155 total remuneration, inclusive of our 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution.

We would love to hear from you if you are an experienced administrator with the following:
- Experience providing administrative support and customer services.
- The ability to work with a range of software applications and administrative and financial corporate data systems, including word processing, databases, electronic file management systems and presentations.
- The ability to juggle tasks with numerous stakeholders and competing priorities with a calm and friendly approach.
- Understanding of The Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti, Te Reo Maori and Maori customs and protocols would be beneficial.
