Team Leader, Systems - Infrastructure

NZQA is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer who also has a passion for leading and mentoring people. You will be looking after an experienced, highly capable team of Infrastructure Engineers as they tackle an ambitious program of work across a wide range of technology. Not to mention keeping everything else humming along nicely.

Mo tenei turanga | About the role
This role is a great opportunity to blend both your people and technical leadership skills. The role is across on-premise and cloud solutions, and has a responsibility for influencing the strategic direction of NZQA moving forward. If you are successful, you will be responsible for ensuring the infrastructure is managed effectively across service capability, performance, and operations; all while keeping the end user in mind.

To be successful in the role we are seeking applicants who:
- Have demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring technical staff in highly complex environments.
- Have experience and knowledge supporting a wide range of technologies including VMware, Checkpoint, M365, Azure and AWS.
- Possess great problem-solving skills, have a strong customer focus, and can come up with creative solutions.
- Stay informed of emerging technologies and new ways of working and how they could be utilised to the benefit of NZQA.
