Are you passionate about sustainability and making a positive impact in your community? We're looking for enthusiastic team members to join our Whanganui Resource Recovery Centre on a casual basis.
What You'll Do:
- Customer Service Excellence: Engage with centre users, provide recycling advice, and ensure a positive experience for all visitors
- Operations Support: Handle charging systems, manage cage changeovers, and identify contamination to maintain quality standards
- Equipment & Vehicle Operation: Safely operate equipment for handling recyclable materials
- Community Outreach: Undertake recycling collection runs for Council, schools, and other community organisations
What We're Looking For:
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude
- Commitment to safety protocols and following standard operating procedures
- Reliability and attention to detail
- Physical fitness for handling materials and equipment operation
- Environmental awareness and passion for waste reduction
- A full drivers license (forklift license a definite bonus!)
