AGR Services Limited is seeking Trade Assistants to join their team in the Waikato region. The role involves supporting skilled technicians in telecommunications work. The ideal candidate will be reliable, motivated, and a strong team player. The position requires travel within the Waikato region, with all travel and fuel costs covered by the employer.
Key Duties
- Assist qualified electrical or telecommunications trades workers with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and telecommunications systems.
- Carry out manual tasks such as digging trenches, lifting and carrying cables and equipment, cutting and connecting wires, and laying conduits under supervision.
- Support trades workers in setting up and dismantling tools, machinery, and equipment required for installations and repairs.
- Follow instructions precisely to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the required standard.
- Help with site preparation and clean-up, including removing debris, organizing materials, and ensuring safe working conditions.
- Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical or telecommunications components as directed by trades workers.
- Comply with workplace health and safety requirements, using personal protective equipment and reporting hazards or unsafe practices.
- Maintain and transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from worksites as needed.
- Support record-keeping and documentation of work completed under supervision.
The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $25 and $30 per hour.
Other Requirements:
- Level 2 relevant trade qualification or 6 months of relevant work experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Availability to work on weekends
- Available to start work from 7:00 AM

- Ability to multitask efficiently in a dynamic work environment
