Shift days and hours: Monday – Friday, 06.30am – 3.00pm
About the role - Mō te tūranga
As our Transport Supervisor you’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding service to our customers, optimising fleet performance, and fostering a strong safety and performance culture across the team. Additionally, you will:
- Coordinate daily inbound and outbound freight movements to meet delivery targets
- Lead, support, and develop a team of drivers and third-party contractors
- Monitor and manage fleet utilisation, transport costs, and revenue
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and Dangerous Goods procedures
- Use TMS and Power BI to plan, track, and report on transport performance
- Resolve customer issues and consignment delays proactively
- Maintain high standards of vehicle and driver presentation, especially during peak periods
- Manage aged consignments using FIFO principles
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance reviews for transport staff
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams, customers, and suppliers

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
- 3–5 years’ experience in transport operations
- A strong understanding of fleet management, logistics, and cost control
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate drivers and contractors
- A proactive approach to health & safety and Dangerous Goods compliance
- Excellent planning and organisational skills — you’re always one step ahead
- Confidence using transport systems and tools like TMS and Power BI
- A customer-first mindset and strong communication skills
- The ability to stay calm under pressure and make smart decisions fast
- A collaborative, adaptable attitude and a drive to exceed performance targets
