We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Wellbeing Psychology Service Practice Lead on a 0.8 FTE (up to 30 hours per week) to join our team and help continue to shape the future of our wellbeing practice.
The role:
In this role you will oversee the clinical delivery of wellbeing Psychology Services, working in a multidisciplinary environment and supporting a team of practitioners while also maintaining a small clinical caseload.
You will be responsible for quality assurance, service innovation, supervision and ensuring the highest standards of psychology care.
This is a key practice lead role, ideal for a skilled and compassionate Psychologist who is passionate about improving access to mental health support and committed to ongoing team development in an ever-changing environment.
Key responsibility:
- Provide strategic and clinical leadership in staff welfare and clinical services across the NZIC
- Managing the Wellbeing Psychology function and managing and directing the effective day to day delivery of all activities connected to it. Ensuring delivery of high quality, evidence-based psychological interventions
- Drive continuous services improvements and innovations
- Maintain a small clinical caseload
- Contribute to the development of well-being initiatives workshops/ training and preventative programmes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards
About you:
We're looking for someone who combines clinical excellence with leadership ability and a strong interest in mental health prevention
Essential:
- You will also be a qualified Clinical Psychologist, with a minimum of a Masters level qualification in clinical psychology and registered to practice with the NZ Psychologists Board
- A breadth of Clinical experience in Adult Mental health, including the assessment and treatment of depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma and stressor related disorders, as well as substance related and addictive disorders and personality disorders
- Experience with administering, interpreting and integrating a range of psychometric tests
- Skilled delivering short-term interventions and wellbeing focussed care
- Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills

The appointment range for this role will be $142,093- $151,566 pro-rata based on hours and experience.

You must:
- Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years
OR
Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years
- Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance
- Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
