Zimmer Biomet is excited to announce that our Summer Internship Program is back for 2025/26. We are further delighted to announce that this year we have extended our program to Christchurch, and we are looking for an intern in our OSSIS division.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the medical technology field, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop skills that directly impact patient care and customer experience.

The project
- This project is proposed to improve implant positioning by developing tools to assist with visualisation and modelling of various surgical techniques used in total hip arthroplasty.
- The clinical knowledge and tools developed will be used by Orthopaedic designers to help plan complex hip surgeries and custom-made implant design.
- This will provide great experience in the design, development and manufacture of medical devices.
Your Background
We welcome applications from students who have recently completed or are entering the final year of their studies, from all universities and disciplines. This includes (but is not limited to):
- Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, Mechatronics)
- Industrial Product Design
