About the role
This is a hands-on role where you can develop your skills and make a meaningful impact. We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Payroll Advisor to join our Corporate Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in payroll, as you’ll be working closely with experienced Senior Payroll Advisors and the Payroll Manager to deliver accurate and timely payroll services.
In this dynamic role, you’ll assist with the fortnightly payroll for just under 2000 employees. You'll play a key part in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, which is critical to our operations. The role offers a supportive environment where you can grow your payroll knowledge, develop professional skills, and make a real difference in a highly respected organisation.

This is a fixed-term position for 15 months, commencing ASAP offering a great opportunity to gain experience and take the next step in your payroll career.
The salary band for this position goes from $65,340 to a maximum of $79,560. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader Authority for the same or similar roles.
What we’re looking for

Ideally you will bring some of the following:
- Payroll advisory experience from within a mid-large organisation
- An understanding of Collective agreements
- Systems savvy with PayGlobal or other similar payroll systems
- Proficient in MS excel
- Have working knowledge of IRD, ACC requirements and relevant employment legislations for eg The Holiday's Act
- High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work to deadlines especially in December & January
