Are you a seasoned Business Analyst ready to take the next step into leadership? We’re offering an exciting secondment opportunity to lead our team of digital analysts within Energy Services. This is your chance to make a real impact - guiding a high-performing team, shaping digital solutions, and driving customer-focused outcomes.

In this role based in Whangarei or Auckland, you’ll lead a team of analysts while also contributing hands-on as a senior Business Analyst. You’ll play a key role in platform enhancements, backlog management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Lead and coach a team of analysts, setting priorities and ensuring high-quality delivery across both BAU and project work.
  • Oversee BAU support, managing service requests, ticket queues, and resolving system issues to minimise downtime and disruptions.
  • Establish and embed Agile practices, including introducing sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to support structured delivery.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify priorities and align improvement work with strategic goals - helping to shape the role of product ownership over time.
  • Conduct business and systems analysis, including process mapping, workflow design, and requirements gathering.
  • Champion continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance performance, customer experience, and platform value.
  • Contribute to budget planning, reporting, and business case development.
  • Build strong relationships across the business and act as a liaison between stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
About you:
  • A relevant degree (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in digital teams, with exposure to Agile delivery and DevOps practices.
  • Proven leadership experience or readiness to step into a team lead role.
  • Strong business analysis skills, process design, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with product and service management, application support, and ticketing systems.
  • A solid understanding of Energy Services operations and digital platforms.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex business environment and matrix structure.
