NEW WORLD KAIKŌURA, JOB VACANCY
BAKER – PERMANENT FULL TIME
We currently have a vacancy for a Qualified Baker to join our team on a full-time basis. Days of work to be negotiated but will include a weekend day.
Daily Tasks Involved in the role:
- Producing a full range of high quality bakery products
- Ensuring food safety and health & safety standards are met
- Delivering exceptional customer service
- Ensuring all products are merchandised to a high standard
- Working with and ensuring all bakery equipment is operated and maintained correctly
- Maintaining a positive working relationship with the whole bakery team and the wider New World Kaikōura team
The person/people we are looking for will have the following attributes:
- 2 years’ experience, equivalent to NZ Certificate in Baking
- Be able to work well in a team, but also be able to complete tasks unassisted in the required timeframe
- Must be able to show initiative
- Must be honest and reliable
- Must be physically fit as they will be on their feet all day
- Have a good sense of humour!
- Must have a positive approach to their day and have a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Have a passion for giving excellent customer service and going the extra mile for our customers
- Must enjoy early starts
- Must have great presentation skills and attention to detail
- Please note: Our busiest times are long weekends/public holidays, and summer holidays
