Be the dedicated resource tasked with lifting the digital capability of our user community. You will, in this role, ensure that all employees of Hamilton City Council are empowered to use technology effectively.
Key areas of the role include:
- Focus on Digital Enablement: Help employees use technology confidently and effectively through training and support.
- Technical Expertise Required: Possess deep knowledge of workplace technology systems, including Microsoft 365, ERP, and regulatory platforms.
- Collaborate with Digital Services: Ensure alignment with technology roadmaps, system updates, and digital transformation efforts.
- Deliver Just-in-Time Training: Provide on-demand, hands-on guidance to help employees navigate technology in real time, leveraging structured online learning resources.
You will bring a passion for enabling others to succeed through technology, a track record of successfully implementing digital capability uplift programs, the ability to engage and inspire employees at all levels to embrace new ways of working and a commitment to continuous improvement, both in your own skills and in the organisation’s digital maturity.
Qualifications

- Proven experience in delivering technology training programs in large organisations.
- Expertise in Microsoft 365 applications.
- Strong grasp of adult learning principles.
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts into user-friendly learning.
- Experience working within local government or regulatory environments (advantage)
- Familiarity with large ERP systems, particularly in public sector.
- Knowledge of e-learning development and digital learning platforms.
