Boulcott Street Bistro is an iconic Wellington restaurant, trading now for nearly 33 years in the city centre. Serving classic Bistro dishes using only the freshest ingredients with a focus on European and NZ cuisine, our front of house team are vital in ensuring we offer our guests the best possible experience when dining with us. We're only a small group out front so we need someone with section management and table service experience who is ready to hit the ground running, but if you have the right passion and personality and just need some polish on your skillset, that will always be prioritized. You are well presented, thrive under pressure, love learning, enjoy a chat with all walks of life, and pride yourself on great attention to detail and creating memorable moments for guests.
The preferred candidate will be looking for a longer term commitment to the role (6 months minimum), and might have a view towards developing their hospitality career.
We're open Monday - Saturday so everyone gets Sundays off! Full time is approx. 35-40 hours/week, across a mixture of nights and split shifts (lunch and dinner). We have staff meals, great perks and consistently awesome tips too.
