About the Role (your why)
As a Lead Consultant – Dynamics 365 CE, you will deliver high-value consulting services to clients, focusing on the design, development, and implementation of Dynamics 365 CE solutions. You will lead project teams, engage with stakeholders, and ensure the delivery of scalable, customer-centric CRM solutions that drive business transformation. Our offices are based in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!
What you’ll do
- Lead and mentor a team of consultants in the design and implementation of Dynamics 365 CE solutions.
- Collaborate with clients as a trusted advisor to understand their needs and translate them into actionable plans and provide strategic guidance on CRM transformations.
- Mentor and develop junior consultants, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Design and implement technology strategies that align with client business goals.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful completion.
- Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure cutting-edge solutions.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to empower clients and team members.
- Drive solution governance, delivery standards, and best practices across projects.
- Own end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment with client goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Oversee solution architecture, configuration, and integration using Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, facilitating workshops and executive briefings.
- Champion the use of automation, AI, and analytics to enhance customer engagement.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and Microsoft roadmap developments to inform solution design.
- Promote DevOps practices and agile delivery methodologies.
- Lead by example, creating a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and capability uplift within the CRM practice.
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years in IT, with 5+ years in Dynamics 365 CE consulting and leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading large-scale CRM implementations across multiple industries.
- Strong understanding of customer engagement processes and CRM best practices.
- Expertise in Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
- Proven experience in a consulting role within the IT and services industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Deep understanding of technology trends and solutions
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Marketing, Field Service, or Customer Insights.
- Familiarity with Azure services, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Agile delivery experience.
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 CE Functional Consultant Associate or equivalent.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification in business or technology.
