About the Role
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), permanent Level 5/6 Qualified NZ Pharmacy Technician to become part of our team as the Lead Pharmacy Technician.
Your primary roles as the Lead Pharmacy Technician will be:
- To provide the day-to-day management of technical duties of the dispensary, including all aspects of dispensing, procurement, stock management, repacking, and compounding
- To participate in and provide leadership in quality improvement projects, education/training, audits, and other innovation initiatives
- To provide supervision, direction, and mentoring to the pharmacy technician staff and pharmacists engaged in the delivery of the pharmacy dispensary service
About the Team/Service Location
The pharmacy team is well respected by clinicians, nursing staff, and senior management across the organisation, and is constantly looking at ways to improve the service and care it delivers. As a pharmacy department, we have a strong clinical presence across all areas of the hospital and linkages into our local community. We provide a comprehensive range of pharmaceutical care and extended roles to a variety of clinical areas. Our team values professional growth and development and is focussed on safe and effective medicines management for our patients.
About you
- NZ Qualified Level 5/6 Pharmacy Technician
- Hospital experience preferred
- Highly self-motivated, can demonstrate effective teamwork
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Keen to learn and develop your professional growth
