As part of the Learning Design team, the Learning Analyst and Developer will manage and enhance our Learning Management System (LMS), support end-to-end learning solution delivery, and develop learning pathways that align with our career and capability strategies. This is a hybrid role blending technical expertise, instructional design, colleague and stakeholder engagement—ideal for someone who’s passionate about both systems and people.

This role is an Auckland based hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly. Team anchor day in the office is Tuesday.

What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?
It’s your opportunity to work at scale in one of New Zealand’s leading financial institutions, where learning and development are seen as essential to business success. You’ll work with our Learning Management system, success Factor and tools like Storyline, SharePoint, and Power BI, and be a key player in initiatives that directly uplift the capability of our people.
What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?
- Maintaining and optimising BNZ’s Learning Management System (LMS) including advising on best use of system capability, user management, permissions, training, documentation and system updates.
- Generating learning reports and using data to drive learning effectiveness.
- Creating and maintaining learning pathways and programmes aligned to BNZ’s capability frameworks.
- Designing and building digital learning content, assessments, and interactive materials.
- Collaborating with learning designers and stakeholders to ensure seamless content deployment and learner experiences.

What projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year?
Alongside the day-day support of BNZ’s Learning Management System, there will be an opportunity to support
our Senior learning analyst with:
- The implementation of a new Workday learning Management system.
- The learning rebuild of our current capability pathways and design of digital learning content.

What skills and experience are required for this role?
- Experience managing Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong data skills—able to extract insights from learning reports and translate them into action.
- Confidence creating engaging online learning solutions (e.g. using Storyline).
- Understanding of learning methodologies and digital delivery in corporate settings.
- Great communication and project coordination skills.
